We are so excited to be able to share one of our Dear Stella designer’s first studio tour! Caitlin Wallace-Rowland is an artist and textile designer from rural Southern Illinois, currently living in New Orleans.
Caitlin spent her childhood running through the creek and climbing trees with her sisters, watercolor painting at her grandparents kitchen table overlooking the garden, cooking and sewing.
Later, she received a B.A. in English and Studio Art from Tulane University and an M.A. in Fibers (Textile Design/Print & Pattern) from the Savannah College of Art. She strives to live and work from her deepest values creativity, simplicity, mindfulness and adventure.
